Terms · updated September 10, 2026

Tools for working crew.

These terms govern use of Backlot Cafe and Backlot Crew. By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully and only for information and production activity you are authorized to access.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account and for keeping access secure. Google-linked status confirms control of a Google identity; it is not an endorsement, employment credential or background check.

Production information

Do not post confidential call sheets, unreleased story information, personal information, payroll records or production material outside the permissions granted by the relevant production or employer.

Staffing and availability

Backlot may help crew signal availability, request crew and make referrals. Backlot is not an employer, union dispatch office, payroll company or guarantee of work. Users remain responsible for confirming rate, classification, union requirements, call details and employment terms.

Recommendations

Private Rolodex notes and recommendations reflect the person who entered them. Do not use the service for harassment, discriminatory staffing, retaliation, defamatory content or misleading credentials.

Assets, rentals and marketplace features

Where Backlot provides sourcing, asset or exchange tools, owners and renters remain responsible for ownership rights, condition, pricing, taxes, insurance, transport and written rental terms unless Backlot expressly agrees otherwise.

No warranty

The service is evolving and may contain errors or interruptions. Confirm time-sensitive payroll, staffing, route, inventory and production information before relying on it.

Changes

We may update these terms as Backlot grows. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date and deployment version shown in the site footer.
