Why support it?

Ontario competes internationally for productions. Service productions employ crew and generate spending across studios, equipment, transportation, hotels, catering, construction, post-production, retail and other local businesses.

This campaign asks the Province to restore the OPSTC to 25% and continue reviewing the OFTTC so Ontario remains competitive while supporting Canadian production capacity.

Important: Backlot Cafe is hosting this Crew Voice campaign. It is not presented as an official IATSE, NABET, DGC or other union campaign unless an organization explicitly partners with or endorses it.

What happens next?

Phase two can turn your optional story into a personalized letter to your MPP and the provincial decision-makers identified by participating industry organizations. We can also add postal-code-to-MPP lookup once we’re ready to launch that workflow publicly.
